Armed Angels have never agreed with the fashion industry's impact on the environment. From the brands beginning in Germany 15 years ago, they vowed to change the system by creating high-quality organic fibre-to-fibre recycled clothing.
The fashion industry lacks a scalable solution to deal with the growing amount of unwanted clothing. Armed Angels aim to test the circularity of fashion with responsible innovation. What ends up in the trash is not gone - it's just somewhere else. Rejected, forgotten, worn-out eco-fair fashion is turned into recycled fibres, then reinforced with a sustainable fibre in the yarn, and then made into new clothing.
From the very beginning Armed Angels chose to go organic when it came to cotton. But as only 1% of the industry is using organic cotton, the brand belongs to an all too exclusive group. Organic cotton is the healthiest choice for garments, people and the planet. It is an important change in the fashion industry to help combat climate change. Armed Angels have created an organic farmers association by partnering with Suminter, breaking the unsustainable status quo by investing in organic and regenerative farming and bringing biodiversity back.
